Dancing in the Rain

Written by: Tereza Lysakova

Thick raindrops are falling
On cracked and parched ground
Sprinkling into windows
With rhythmic drumming sound

I'm standing there, no one's around
I'm standing, rain's drenching my clothes
Waiting for darkness to come

Thick raindrops are falling
Into my flowing hair
Suddenly I see you
Coming out of nowhere

I'm standing there, now, and again
I'm standing, happy I'm not alone
That we'll be dancing in the rain

Author's note:
Poem Dancing in the Rain is an English translation
of my original poem of the same name, written in Czech
